Kantha is a traditional embroidery technique used in the Indian subcontinent for hundreds of years, and is characterized by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. The Suzani embroidery, a traditional form of needlework originating from Central Asia, is then applied by machine on the panels of vintage kantha to decorate them.
